We are a purpose built Early Learning Centre, licensed by the Ministry of Education for children aged 0-5 years. The centre caters for the needs of local families in Gore and the surrounding area, and offers WINZ subsidies and 20 ECE Hours for those eligible.
Our programme is based on Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum. Our programme places high importance on the partnership between teachers, children and families/whānau. As part of our emphasis on quality we offer excellent child:teacher ratios, with enthusiastic, qualified and registered teachers, as well as teachers in training.
Our centre incorporates four indoor learning areas and two separate outdoor play areas for under 2’s and over 2’s. The large, spacious grounds feature an exciting locally designed and crafted playground, reflecting many aspects of the Otatara area, this provides an environment to challenge children and to inspire their imagination, exploration and creativity.
As a qualified and fully registered teacher who owns and manages Otatara Preschool I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education. I am excited and looking forward to returning to my hometown, Gore, to promote a quality, well-resourced and modern early childhood facility to the community.
Gore Preschool will be licensed to operate from 7:30am– 6pm Monday to Friday.
The Centre will be closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period, at no charge; dates will be advised in advance. We will also be closed for all public holidays.
